In 2009, he organized and executed a speaking tour of the mainland United States, driving 13,934 miles in a hybrid car and doing 41 events in 39 cities.  He was concerned about polarization and hysteria – which seemed to be spiraling out of control – and the theme of his talks was ‘Re-humanization of the relationship between America and the Muslim world.’

The acclaim for his very entertaining ‘narrative performance’ was astonishing (see link below).

However, once his tour was underway, he received numerous e-mails from people around America – asking when he was coming to their city, and even complaining that their city was not included in the tour.  He promised to do a tour again, with even wider coverage.

50-City Speaking Tour of Entire Mainland United States

50-city

He repeated this in 2012  with the 50-city US speaking tour shown below:

The title of the narrative performance was:
‘Islam and the West: a Personal Journey’

Please note that Imran does not defend/attack any particular religious or political viewpoint. His narrative performance is engaging, funny, intelligent, thought-provoking, self-critical, universal and, ultimately, moving.

He is always happy to deliver his highly insightful, moving and hilarious performance – which is suitable for a general audience (no bad language) – and questions are taken afterwards.

Testimonials

This was an amazing talk.  Imran weaved Shakespeare, re-humanization, anthropology, current affairs, Islam and the West, geo-politics, corporate life, self-help, spirituality, motivation and following your dream into a wonderful, engaging and hilarious narrative that had me riveted.

I’ve been to many talks by famous writers, but this was the most enjoyable one ever.
